Mantle of the Misty Cloud

Growing up in India, Vikram says I see this painting as a metaphor for society: translucent, tenuous, fragile, mutable, fluid, ever-changing, surrounding us completely and yet needing to be propped up by layer upon layer of our own human 'helping hands' thereby producing a whole greater then the sum of its parts.
