I created this piece specifically to enter the 18th Annual Teapot Show in Wisconsin. I was interested in creating a woven teapot that was woven as on piece without separate attached handle and spout. I have been weaving baskets since 1987 and have studied extensively with Japanese basket maker and teacher Jiro Yonezawa. –Artist statement
