A running theme in my work is the relationship between dualities such as the left and right sides of the brain or the intellect and the sense of being. I combine geometry with expressionistic gestures and color fields, I set up an underlying geometry to organize irregular, organic or fractal forms, and I juxtapose geometric grids and patterns against fluid patterns of spheres floating in space. Despite the conceptual underpinning I try to create images that are simply beautiful, engaging and accessible to anyone without prior knowledge. –Artist statement
