This work was created as part of the artist's American mythological theme.  Here he combines the mass produced and ubiquitous shopping cart with that of a circle of wagons from the old West.  Simultaneously, the work stakes its claim in history, where wagon trains formed circles for protection, while also offering a scathing commentary on 20th century consumer culture.
