Philip McCracken

Many of the artists in this series gave me an eye to see far beyond what I was seeing, especially in my nature work which is my great love.  Phil McCracken is a sculptor and a very fine painter.  I photographed him here near Anacortes, next to his 'Mountain Bird' at the top of Mount Erie.  Phil lives on Guemes Island across from Anacortes, Washington. –Artist statement
