1988 Proposal for Seneca Steps

Many of the artworks seen around Seattle begin with an artist proposal.  These proposals are submitted to jury panels who select specific artists or artist teams to complete % for art projects.  This drawing is the result of one of these projects.  Although this artist team was not awarded the commission for this project, the proposal is very interesting as an art product.  They proposed that the steps leading down to Western Avenue follow the contour of the human foot.
