Afterimage - Bundled Newspapers

Kinu Watanabe was born in Miigata, Japan and received a BFA in Fine Arts in Osaka, Japan and her MFA in Ceramics from the University of Washington. Ordinary domestic scenes sometimes remain vividly in ones memory. I use the idea of pillows as a metaphor for something comfortable and to return to everyday. It calms the mind and warms the heart. –Artist statement
