These panels are made with salvaged wood, purposefully reducing my personal footprint on the planet.  The outer covering is lath, cut, arranged and painted in a manner reminiscent of an abstract quilt.  To symbolize Seattle public utilities' services (water & recycling), the colors are primarily blues and greens. Small triangles in the pattern are painted red to dynamize the composition. The panels progress from a flat plane to changing vertical angles that protrude in different depths, with the intent of drawing the viewer down the hallway to look at each one. –Artist statement
