Three Hours Of Rain (Sister City) serves as a record of storm rainfall over the course of three hours in Bergen, Norway. White glass powder was sifted onto three plates of re-purposed local greenhouse glass and shaped by the falling rain itself. Julia Chamberlain is a Seattle-based artist who explores illumination, technology, and cities in her mixed media and glass work. She received her BFA from the University of Washington in 2015. This piece was created at a residency at S12 Galleri og Verksted in Bergen, Norway in association with Pilchuck Glass School. –Artist statement
