Shoulder My Burden

As a first world nation we enjoy luxuries that we take for granted on a daily basis and that ultimately someone down the line is going to inherit the imbalance. I've piled the wood shipping containers up under the boat element of this piece to represent the reversal of the trade system. For me the containers placed underneath represent the people on the receiving end of this imbalance. –Artist statement
