The Ability to Swing

Kathy Glowen is a well-known Northwest artist who works in collage and assemblage.  Often her sculptures have a humorous slant to them and are always narrative.  This particular piece was completed for the 1989 Bumbershoot Art Exhibition entitled Some Assembly Required.  This competition featured experimental assemblage made outside of an artist's usual body of work.
