Inheritance

I am fascinated by the nature of objects in our lives, particularly mementos, keepsakes, souvenirs, and those created through acts of devotion. I continue to ask myself: 'Is there a connection between identity and the objects we are given as children?' This piece represents a keepsake that recognizes the fact that certain traits, characteristics, and behaviors passed from one generation to the next can paradoxically be a blessing and a curse.
