Night is a different place. Even the familiar is changed by darkness. It is made even stranger when seen through the lens of a camera. Night gives the photographer the opportunity to stretch and amplify light by manipulating exposure lengths. Even though the streaks of light in these photographs are made by rapidly moving objects, the over all impression left to the viewer is that of an abandoned city.
