Night is a different place. Even the familiar is changed by darkness.  It is made stranger when seen through the lens of a camera. Light can be stretched and amplified by exposure lengths and objects can be isolated for our inspection. Even though the streaks of light in these photographs are made by rapidly moving objects, the over all impression left to the viewer is that of an abandoned city.
