Untitled (Handwoven Lap Robe)

In 1982, there was a purchase of textiles by the Seattle Arts Commission for the Portable Works Collection. This work was one of the pieces acquired that year. There is technical information in the database, but nothing about the artist. The curious thing about this work is that it was made in 1951, which makes it, perhaps, the oldest work in the collection.  Without a history, we are left with the craftsmanship and the beauty of the object itself.
