Description: A simple line drawing of a boat overlaid on a map of the city of Seattle generated the shape and concept of the original five artworks that were created as Seattle Scatter Piece. The entire project was intended to comprise five sites which, when connected on a map, will form this simple boat outline.  Currently, only four of the five sites remain. The five principal points (the bow, and front and rear corners) overlapped city owned sites. At each location, a different sculpture employs the boat shape as its fundamental form. The original artwork concept for all five sculptures were to require a complete "voyage" through all districts of the city to see the artwork in its entirety.
