A still life of sorts based loosely on 'period' (1940s) billboard design and palette.  The title refers to a quote from the film Casablanca.  The representation of objects (still life tradition) merged with persons and or human attributes.  It is a form of musing commentary I have worked with for some time, and in various contexts.  The situations, creatures and objects that form the representations in my work, mostly begin in the sketchbook.
