Travous reminds us in his work of that often forgotten, suppressed or discredited notion that heavy industry and technology can result in some pretty cool stuff. His affection for the poetry of the industrial site is made more palatable by his cartoon-like presentation and manic enthusiasm reminiscent of a mad-scientist in some 1950s B-movie.
