Gasworks Park manifests the mystery of refining natural resources which in turn fueled the spirit of industry…I view these structures as anthropomorphic in character, possessing personality and emotional temperament. I seek a means to translate the irony, incongruity, and pathos manifested in these dynamic monuments to technological evolution as they become vestigial organs of American Industry. –Artist statement
