Sleeping Muse

My primary intention as a painter is to juxtapose images and their relationships, and to find new meaning in the complex relation of man to objects and his environment.  My most recent paintings address themes of female identity.  They express that the womanly body is a vessel separate from female self-reality, and that the 'image of a woman' is often a paradox of public and private identity.  By mingling these images and fragmented situations, I suggest the development of an inner life.
