Prelude

This image shows a figure sleeping in an easy chair with a guardian figure providing the impetus to awaken move, press forward.  Often, Scheier adds figures within the everyday environment of interior spaces and gardens.  Figures are at rest, sleeping or unconscious with musicians at their sides.  Just as the figures are at a point of transition, the environment is shifting, or chaotic, or showing multiple perspectives giving the sense of eminent change.
