Hat and Boots

The artist works mostly from memory and sketches in creating his prints. He is prompted to capture the characteristic features of the city that are in danger of changing. He feels this may be his way of holding on to the familiar aspects of the city with all their related associations from the past. Her, the hat n' boots recalls the plentiful, but quickly diminishing goofy roadside attractions of the past.
