Waterfront

My work is subject oriented.  Most of what I sketch are places that relate to what I grew up with older buildings, smokestack industries, public projects, natural scenery.  If there is a broader meaning, it may be the sense of things passing.  The Kingdome became more interesting when I could no longer take its looming presence for granted.  That said, for me the meaning is not at all realized until it is spatially composed to the picture plane. –Artist statement
