Hilltops were reserved for parks or schools, not just monster houses.  It was a civic minded focus for the community.  For the artist, the meaning of a work is not at all realized until it is spatially composed to the picture plane.  The two objectives are most apparent in trying to resolve the colors.  They are both representational and coordinate space. –Artist statement
