Shango Throne

Description: Artwork is approximately ten feet high by 5 feet wide by 1 foot deep and made of enamel paints, wood, and metals.  The user sits at the feet of a standing figure from African mythology that is larger than human size.  This throne is of Shango, a Nigeria-Yoruba thunder deity.  Each is ornamented with clothing and jewelry made of painted juice can lids, wood blocks, and metal objects found by the children of the community.
