Description: Used leather straps, wire, and mixed media suspend over a pink wall to create an approachable quilt-like pattern that evokes nature as well as the ornamental ironwork often found in pubic buildings.

Artist Statement: I see this piece as a combination of 'ornamental iron' and 'quilts.' Ornamental iron is something from the past that evokes memories. Geometric patterns and flora are things that all cultures share. Geometry involves balance, which is at the heart of justice. . .The human experience is the strongest element in this piece because all of the intricate parts are handmade.
