Gould’s Judge Thomas Burke is a statue honoring pioneer Judge Thomas Burke, who was instrumental in bringing transcontinental railroad to Seattle.  There was much debate over where the statue would be placed, but it was ultimately decided to have it placed in Volunteer Park.  It was dedicated on March 27, 1930.
