Altar Hearted

Dorit Brand has an established reputation in the Northwest for using innovative material in the creation of her highly personalized art objects.  This piece is from a series of glass pieces in which the artist was concerned with the construction of a personal altar.  One interpretation could be an abstraction of forms that suggest a halo, or heart with a glass staircase leading to the personal altar.
