I am afraid of flying because the airlines won’t let me drive.
I get nervous on freeways because of the other drivers.
I worry the bank will lose my money.
I know that rats multiply, trees can topple on you, dogs don’t live as long as humans and humans, sometimes, not as long as dogs.
So, I paint.
Through the years, my work has expanded from family matters to personal and political issues and back again - a journey for a sense of place and for recording the region’s people and events that have and do affect my life. –Artist statement
