Hickory

In my artwork, I investigate landscape as subject matter.  Inspired by overhead views, maps, city designs, architectural drawings and the fantastic ideas of Archigram, I have created these paintings of generic cities and sites.  As a map to an entire city, these abstractions offer only the hint of roads, buildings, civic centers, airports and parks.  My paintings allude to places rather than describe them explicitly. –Artist statement
