Still Life With Towels and Red Denim

As a form, the still life has traditionally drawn attention to that which perception normally screens out.  Still lives are portraits without beings, constructed with only the things that define and maintain us both as individuals and as inhabitants of a particular time and culture.  They are reminders of humanity made more effective by the absence humans.
