My painting style is influenced by folk art and early Renaissance European painting.  The allegorical imagery in my work however is often grounded in my own family's history.  Since I am a 6th generation Seattleite my imagery is deeply rooted in the Northwest and the work often shows a contrast between nature and the artificial.
