Eugene Pizzuto (1925-2004) was a notable and prolific member of Seattle's art and education community. His career was centered at the University of Washington, where he was Professor of Drawing and Painting from 1957- 93, and was head of the Painting Department in the years preceding his retirement. A dedicated landscape painter, Pizzuto developed a unique and individual modern voice as an artist.
