My recent work stems from a curiosity of the unseen world…cellular, cosmic, oceanic, geometric…environments with a fluid sense of space and scale.  This image repeated is an instruction for making a monkey's fist, a circular knot…I see the diagram as a mandala, as a symbol of movement, of pathways and the passage of time.  The repetition of design comes from a need to make comfortable and beautiful what is not necessarily understood, domesticating the unknown. –Artist statement
