Casino (ed 1/10)

On my first trip to Las Vegas I was struck with the massive casinos and their bizarre, Piranesi-like interiors.  The extravagant architecture is inhabited here by characters from popular culture rendered in a style influenced by Japanese animation.  I wanted to communicate a feeling of vulnerability of the visitors in the casino who are caught up and seduced by the lingerie show, gambling, Brittany Spears performance and television characters. –Artist statement
