Doc Martin

I work both in the studio and on location.  The shoe series is an example of more conceptual work…beginning with an empty studio, creating rather than finding a scene.  With these shoe images, the goal was to make a statement about the wearer, without including an individual in the photograph.  It is important the Dress Heel be sexy, that Doc Martin have a forthright and ironic quality and that, despite its size, the Baby Shoe have an equally significant presence. –Artist statement
