Hacienda Dolores Kitchen, Tanque de Dolores, San Luis Potosi, Mexico (ed 1/30)

Seth Thompson holds graduate degrees in both literature and painting and teaches color at the Photographic Center Northwest in Seattle.  He has exhibited internationally.  Since 1994, he has explored the mountain district of Catorce in San Luis Potosi State, Mexico, making images of interiors and the land, which is considered holy by both Mexican Catholics and Huichol Indians.  This image shows an abandoned hacienda in use by the family who takes care of the hacienda.  Tanque de Dolores is a small oasis town in the desert between the mountain towns of Charcas and Real de Catorce. –Artist statement
