Two Jars, Two Boxes I

My current work involves, mostly, still life objects and landscapes. In these works I use subject matter and locations that have little, if any, emotional association. I am more interested in the space around things and the way light strikes them, than I am in depicting them. I do not want the emotionally loaded imagery to get in the way of the awareness of space and light, which is the real subject. –Artist statement
