Double II

The drypoint images of two female figures are deliberately printed in reverse of their monoplate-printed coloration, in order to exaggerate the lack of registration.  Here the spoken phrases, which are selected from Spanish language phrase books, are intentionally at odds with one another. In addition to physical adornment, I am interested in our occasional need to costume and mask ourselves, in order to become someone else, if only momentarily. –Artist statement
