These dishes are second hand - collected from every possible source and they come with their own history. Through this combination of the vessel, the use of common dishes and pattern, I am attempting to speak to something that is in each of us. For lack of a better word, family. Family and community defined by each of us. Bonds that make us personally connected to other human beings (and) respectful of the tasks that make up the mantras of our daily routines. –Artist statement
