Herons Alight

Great blue herons are indigenous to this region and of the water. How does their grace survive, amidst the climate change challenge? My art experience includes exhibits and bus shelter windows. I studied art at Saint Olaf College, the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and Penland School of Craft. The duality of relief printing surprises me with intermingled complexity. This helps me resolve the “humans and nature” duality. How do herons feel while outstretching their wings? Like people stretching arms? –Artist statement
