Partial View II

This artwork is part of a series called Partial View. It is inspired by nature on the Olympic Peninsula - its wild and pristine wealth of mountains, beaches and rivers with their abundant fish and birds. Not to mention the masses of air and wind forming clouds and mysterious hazes. The technique used is a two-step printing process. First, I printed the gel print and then superimposed the wood cut print. It was my intention to show only a section of the landscape captured by my eye, using a viewfinder. –Artist statement
