This work records my exploration of overlooked and temporary places in the modern urban landscape – abandoned buildings, construction sites, vacant lots. The architecture’s sodium vapor lights reflecting in the sky lends this place a monumental aspect. It is located in a highly transitional neighborhood in Portland that will probably be unrecognizable in five years. The bars on the windows are characteristic of the area of NE Alberta, Portland. –Artist statement
