Far Side

The Far Side was a piece conceptualized by the idea of reaching to the furthest side of my artistic mentality to create something that has not been particularly done until I did it. And that is directly having graffiti side busting into a 'form line' painting. My artistic practice is propelled by the tension between ancient First Nations skills and traditions and the contemporary urban/street digital world. This is demonstrated in my use of Northwest Coast (Helitsuk) form line to create habitats for traditional figures, merged with contemporary ideas of abstraction, manga and graffiti. –Artist statement
