12 Hydrostone Panels was designed as an extension of the concepts and imagery found in the artist's Vitrification Kit: A Little Alchemy, Humor and Truth. The Vitrification Kit was commissioned in 1996 by the Seattle Arts Commission’s Visual Artist’s program for the Portable Works Collection. U-235 Chain Reaction and U-235 Bomb Little Boy disclose technical diagrams cast in a lead Polaroid format.
