Antepenultimate

Antepenultimate is a sculpture in the round. The conceptual basis for this work is directly engaged with my painting practice. The composition was created in the same manner as I would make a painting : a moment or still life composition created digitally in three dimensions. Instead of painting the result, it was sculpted. As a result the work embodies the forms and weight of my painted works while exhibiting an impact on physical space. –Artist statement
