Plot

The painting Plot is particularly important to me, as it was one of the first of a new chapter in my work. Plot marks a return to the basics for me: intuitive markmakiing, using only my hand, eye, and brush. I am trying to create open-ended abstractions that balance wide-ranging references to the world outside of the work, with an equal concern for the sensual, visual qualities that exist within the artwork. –Artist statement
