An Aleut artist, Stream uses geometric designs that are embodied into the creatures to reflect the importance of the Aleit's spiritual beliefs. Depicting the Aleut wooden hunting hats and visors, the hat is in unity with the creature and exalts the Native American. The Aleut people lived in a world of scarcity and became expert at deriving maximum benefits from the scant resources that nature provided. –Artist statement
