This piece juxtaposes two maps of areas in our state which are 30 miles apart but which are worlds apart in how the land is used. Hanford is one of the most polluted and dangerous waste sites in the country and the Yakama Reservation is land stolen from the inhabitants and then given back to people whose power had been taken from them. –Artist statement
