Strive?

My favorite artistic medium is mezzotint printmaking, a 17th century process once considered obsolete.  I find it perfectly suited to presenting rich, velvety blacks and countless subtle grays.  In mezzotint, the interplay of light and darkness can make the most ordinary subjects mysterious. –Artist statement
